Wrinkle Reduction
Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process. They occur most frequently in areas exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, back of the hands and forearms. Over time, skin gets thinner, drier and less elastic. Ultimately, this causes wrinkles – either fine lines or deep furrows. In addition to sun exposure, premature aging of the skin is associated with smoking, heredity and skin type (higher incidence among people with fair hair, blue-eyes and light skin). Treatments exist to help improve the appearance of wrinkles.
Botox® & Dysport®
Small quantities of Botox® or Dysport®, which are all forms of botulinum toxin, can be injected into discrete facial muscles, blocking the contraction of the facial muscles that create cosmetic “crows feet” and “frown lines” as well as lip lines. The resulting relaxation of these facial muscles causes lines of expression to soften, appear less deep, or even disappear completely.
Soft Tissue Filler
Fillers are a safe, non-surgical treatment used to fill lines and wrinkles on the face. Fillers work to smooth wrinkles by replenishing the skin’s natural collagen support layer beneath the surface. Results are immediate with minimal recovery time. These fillers are used to restore facial volume while reducing facial lines and wrinkles. Examples of these fillers are Juvederm, Radiesse, Belotero and Restylane.
Chemical Peels – Renew & Refresh Your Skin
Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes to produce healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient. Alliance dermatology offers exclusive medical grade chemical peels.
Benign Growth Removal – Unsightly Skin Growths Be Gone
Skin tags, seborrheic keratoses, and lentigines are common benign growths on the skin. They are not dangerous, but can be annoying or aesthetically unpleasing. Medical evaluation is required for proper diagnosis of benign growths. These benign growths can be easily removed.
The following procedures may be used to remove skin tags:
- Cauterization – growth is burned off using a light electrical current
- Cryosurgery – growth is frozen off using liquid nitrogen
- Excision – growth is removed with a surgical scissors or blade
