Barbara Vail, MD, FAAD
Dr. Barbara Vail is a board-certified dermatologist who focuses on medical dermatology for patients aged 10 and older. She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of acne, rashes and skin cancer. Dr. Vail is committed to ensuring that patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, and encourages patients to become active participants in their healthcare decisions.
Dr. Vail received her medical degree from MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine where she was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha academic honor society. She completed her internship and Dermatology residency training at Drexel University where she was named Chief Resident.
She holds a VMD from University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced for several years prior to entering medical school. Dr. Vail has practiced dermatology in both academic and community settings, and has been named a Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctor multiple times throughout her career.
Dr. Vail is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
